The Shrine

It’s been a long, long time since I visited the Shrine.  I had the opportunity last Saturday to have a brief wander around.  I don’t think it will be so long between drinks for the next visit, especially since Allison is coming to visit for a couple weeks and we didn’t get to that part of Melbourne at all.

Anyway, a small selection of the few photos that I took…

(All shot with 50mm lens.)

Giants in Stone

Checkerboad Grass

Inspired by the EMINEM song, Watch me Burn

Just gonna stand there
And watch me burn
But that’s alright
Because I like
The way it hurts
Just gonna stand there
And hear me cry
But that’s alright
Because I love
The way you lie
I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie…

Noirish Apologies

Noir Magazine - Conceptual mazine and masthead design.

I must apologise for the lack of content here recently.  As a design student now in my second year of my course (part time) I am pretty busy with homework a lot of the time. I hope to have a range of different tutorials up over the coming weeks though.

Not to mention photos and assignment pictures.

*** The above assignment features photography by yours truly. The image is one I took of up and coming singer, Katie Weston.

Watching the Morning

Another for my Dragon Worlds series.  Been working on this one for a while. Still not entirely happy with it.  I think it’s because it’s in portrait orientation rather than landscape. It’s not quite as epic as I was hoping it to look and I think the lack of background is the reason why.  Feel free to leave your opinions. I really can’t fix this without starting from scratch and that’s something I’m not really inclined to do unless I’m particularly inspired to revisit Photoshop and battle the dragons again.
