A Distinct Underabundance of Otters.

While my friend Allison was here, we went to the Melbourne Zoo.

Specifically to steal some otters because they are OMGSOCUTESQUEE!!!!

See?

I’m linking the above image from my Pinterest board.

Why?

BECAUSE MELBOURNE ZOO HAD NO OTTERS.

Allison and I were bereft.

And our bathtubs remain empty.

Because we’re totally going to keep the otters in the bathtub when we get them.

Anyway, here are some more pictures from the zoo day.

LEEEEEEEMUR.

A lemur. A very serious-looking lemur.

Flying seal…

Seals are my second-favourite animals at the zoo and it was the first time I’d been to see the new seal tank.

It. Was. Awesome!

Upside-down. Tea bag?

Slightly more artsy shot of a seal.

Dead effalent.

No, not really. Just sleepy.

How much can a bear bear?

Or bare, for that matter?

Another LEEEEEEMUR.

Leemur, leemur, duck!

About as close as I get to pelicans.

They scare me. Almost as much as clowns.

Butt…!

And I’d like to end the presentation with this.

Arse.

Nice shots! My family went to Melbourne Zoo when I was about 11. The chimpanzees shat in their hands & flung it at some noisy German tourists. My younger brothers & I still reminisce fondly about that.
Oh, and creepy pelicans… you don’t ever want to have one crap on your car.

Love the zoo. I usually try to go every year, although I haven’t this year. I love these photos! Makes me really want to visit!
