Blog Star: The Colours of Melbourne

Today, the Blog Star is not me (perse), it’s my town, my love, my Melbourne.

Have I ever mentioned that I love the city in which I live?

I’m sure I have.

I love how colourful the place is, particularly in town with all the art (questionable or otherwise) and architecture and hidden gems found in the little nooks and crannies.

Even the locks are pretty colours here.

When Melbournians have something to say, they choose the most colourful way of doing so.

Even in the middle of the drab grey of the concrete jungle, you can find tiny reminders of beauty.

It’s hard to imagine that this isn’t on canvas. It’s on a wall that is regularly painted over with new art almost on a weekly basis. Sometimes it’s heartbreaking and breathtaking all at once. Hosier Lane (though it may not be there anymore.)

And they call this vandalism. I call it stunning. This is part of a wider series of art murals in ACDC Lane based on conservation.

Thanks for the opportunity to share a little bit of my favourite place in the world with all the other Blog Stars for Mrs Monologues…
